Father in laws car failed MOT, so this morning I have replaced the front lower wishbone an both rear anti roll bar links. The car is 11 years old so I was not looking forward to it, I thought that everything would be solid to get off. This was not the case hour and a half later I'm sat in house with a cup of tea and mince pie . Wife has gone to get hair done and do a bit of Christmas shopping, so I'm looking after kids.

I hope it was from a chicken that had been kept indoors. :hate-shocked:

(30 minutes spent sorting out over 1,000 Tagetes seeds from planters in the front garden)

And 6 hours trying to finish off all the refurbs we've been doing before our daughter returns from uni at the weekend, but will she even notice them? Thinking about leaving some stuff so she can learn painting, wallpaper hanging, plastering, tiling, electrics, plumbing, etc., as I'm beginning to think that after having to do all that sort of stuff for both ourselves and my elderly in-laws (and previously for my parents), I'll also be expected to do it for our daughter.

Went shopping to the supermarket. Bought a rhubarb pie and chose the only one that wasn't broken in pieces.
Put it on top of the other things in the bag in case it got squashed.
Pushed trolley back to the car, and went over those little bumps that are meant for blind people, so they know when they are at the kerb ...
and the pie slid off the top of the bag and landed upside down on the ground !
... so we got a smashed pie anyway :heehee:
