Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

Sorry to hear that @Upsydaisy it's very difficult at times like these, lots of hugs
Yes stress affects different people in different ways. I always suffer from indigestion and heartburn when I'm stressed.

I never got to see my parents when they died, but my 2 brothers were there.
My dad suddenly died of a heart attack and my mom lung cancer but i missed her going.

 

I watch gardeners world and the 2 goldies called nigel and nellie , nigel died last Monday all of a sudden, i was so upset I cried as if he was ours, i took this from the gw calendar
Someone else put this on another forum
He looked just like some of ours.

 

Another cloud of sadness here, just had a phone call to say a friend died 5 days before my Dad of the same awful Pancreatic Cancer. Known her for years, we went to school together and both worked and did our training in the same salon.
Very sad times made a 100% worst by this virus and all it's restrictions.

 

So sorry to read this Upsy ... sending extra hugs. Vxx

Hubs and youngest son went to click and collect to pick up my new kitchen yesterday so I did my 'deep clean' through my house, I'm not a mucky mare I do clean everyday, but twice a week I do a deep clean. Then I will be all ready to start fitting the kitchen today so excited.

 

@shiney.... a coffee would suffice ....oh and maybe a choice biscuit Haha....wow 47 years ... you were obviously good employers

@Upsydaisy I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad and your friend. My heart goes out to you and your family. It was good to know your Dad was able to stay in the familiar surroundings of his own home. Something we would all wish for.

Just come back from shopping - staying inside today - it's far too hot out there - even with a hat on.

Heard on the radio - longest day on 21st June - that's a missed season down the allotment.

According to the recently published ONS data - 6 people nearby have passed away from Covid-19 - it's closer than we think.

Please excuse the mess (and the ill fitting worktop near microwave we fit a new corner unit yesterday to replace a 800mm base unit so until we fit the new worktop the old one is going to have to do...also first time one is blurred because I took a vid and took a screenshot of that..... to show hubby when he gets up, what time I finished building 4 units today, 2 base, 2 wall... I got up at 4am so to save hubby a job building them and getting stressed I thought I would do them because I love stuff like that....
