Try having a drink of water prior to having a blood test. Samples can be taken from the back of the hand, and also the lobe of the ear.

I often come out, feeling like a watering can, or a Tetley tea bag. Full off perforations.

Done that, doesn't work for me Mike. I have had them in the back of my hand and upper arm, veins still collapsed. That was for IVs but when I go for regular samples, It goes painlessly with no bruising. The blood transfusion was relatively okay.

I found my 'Get out of Jail card' so me and my daughter went to Tesco Express today. This is the only time I go out.

I even stopped watching my local football team because there is no social distancing from what I've seen in photos.

Apart from the nursery, today I have done a home check for a localish dog charity that rescue dogs from Romainia, also sorted a sublimation printer out for mrs cuttings (she would be if we could be bothered be mrs that is), and purchased a Lowestoft tea bowl, to add to the collection, and had a couple of beers, that I posponed from Sunday., but just before, that took the Pontiac for an hours drive, good day its been.

Because of the weather this week i decided to make the Christmas puddings.
20201005_090135.jpg put three layers of greaseproof paper or baking paper that's been greased
                    20201005_092614.jpg
Then covered them with aluminium foil and secured it around the rim of the pudding basins with a elastic band,it's so much easier than using string.

Straight away put one layer of greaseproof paper or baking paper on top.
                    20201005_144920.jpg
then put 3 layers of clingfilm on.

I remember my mum making the xmas puddings. Using the white basins and then wrapping the lot up in apiece of white linen, then plunging them into deep sausepans and steamed for several hours. Silver threepenny pieces were also added to the puds. Happy memories.

Spent an hour or so finishing the trimming & tidying up of the polyanthus trady for planting out later. Then this evening I watched two operations on TV. One from Papworth Hosp, of a woman having blood clots removed from her lungs. The other was a 74 yr old, whose pelvis had been attacked by cancer that had spread from prostate cancer, which he never knew he had. Fantastic surgery by an army med/surgeon. Sadly five months later, the poor chap passed away.

Heard encouraging news that my mother's health is improving slightly, though she is not up to talking by phone yet and due to covid restrictions we are still not permitted to visit. Picked up the proof copy of my forthcoming poetry pamphlet, a rare bit of positivity on the horizon. DSCF4850.JPG
