Just got off the phone. Surprise call from my friend, wishing me a happy birthday. Two hour call.

About 5 this morning I went into REM stage and dreamt that I had flown to England and met @Snorky85. Then the two of us began touring other member's places. I woke up when we got to @pete 's place. Sorry @Snorky85 we didn't get to see his garden! :heehee:

I took down my indoor Christmas decorations too. A neighbour brought me some stuffed rolls. One had a type of custard in it and the other had pork and shallots. The custard was interesting but I didn't much care for the pork one - not sure how I shall word my experience to make sure I don't insult anyone.

And later I'm going to start sewing. Going to make a new top and practice some more with my coverstitch. I have a double binder foot coming soon and want to get the rest of the techniques figured out before trying this new gadget :)

499 piece jigsaw puzzle  So annoyed there is a piece missing. Weve searched high and low. Can only conclude it was missing.

That is great fun ... but what a horror doing it on that tablecloth, but more the challenge I guess. The missing piece is not that noticeable. Well done.

Sam and I did a puzzle just before Christmas and were missing a piece. We crawled around on the floor several times looking for it. So I waited until after a super sunny day to vacuum so we could look for it one more time. In good light. Sure enough, it had blended in with part of the pattern on the rug!

                      A nice one! :blue thumb:

We like a bit of challenge and quickly hide the box lid trying not to look at it. The best gifts are from my family who send us jigsaw puzzles completely without the box.

But most often we buy ours from charity shops. 999 piece puzzles are the norm but once we had a 1001 piece one, with one random piece duplicated. Very handy in case you happen to lose that particular piece I guess.

Heck you like a challenge don't you @Selleri ! It was tough enough with the table cloth.

i was hoping we might hoover it up too Lori. We've got hard flooring and looked everywhere with torches too lol.

So what is the etiquette(?) for how long you leave a complete puzzle out for until you put it back in the box? Lol.

                          Another day indoors.

Did receive an email from J.Parkers with some end of season offers. So I raided the piggy bank and ended up spending £78 on lily and other bulbs.

Working on the utility today. Fitting worktop on top of the washing machine, boxing in a load of pipe work and fitting a door and architrave. Work has stopped as the lights I ordered off Amazon to make a grow light setup turned up. I had some vouchers from my Birthday in October, so they only cost me a tenner. I got 6 4ft LED lights, Jesus they are bright. Need to set up a grow box and get sowing now.

I have to admit, I haven't spotted it. :dunno: It's not one of those 'King's New Clothes' things, is it? :heehee:

We were once on a cruise where they had a 10,000 piece jigsaw on a very large table for anyone to work on. :rolleyespink:
