Thank you ARMANDII :). I'm hoping that if I can make stuff all year round I will be able to get ahead of myself and have things stockpiled. In long fun it should give me more time to do other things. Like gardening, cycling, beach, etc.

@luciusmaximus Oh I was the same-I tried the downhill stuff with Dave and had a nasty accident-that was about ten years ago and its only this last tear that I've become confident on a bike again.

I've got a "Specialized Turbo Levo" What have you gone for?
      78970ACC-E064-43F0-876D-65B7D3551498.jpeg

It was second hand but hardly used. I've got a few fancier bits on it now like new suspension, handlebars etc etc.

Voodoo Bizango. It's a hardtail . I sat on one in shop, liked the angles, suits my riding style. I tried to get a second hand bike, but they are like gold dust at the mine or the other end of the country. Going to add a few extra bits of kit, mud guards, pedals, etc. And, the saddle will definitely have to go :loll:. Not keen on the two tone tyres that come with the bike either.

Ooh ive just googled it. It must be good-says limited stock available! Oh the saddle on it looks painful :heehee: That's the first thing I changed-I've got a gel saddle AND a gel seat cover AND i wear padded shorts. :heehee: I had "monkey butt" really bad when I first started cycling-my goodness it was sore! Only just recently I can go out without any pain. I've also got an adjustable height saddle so I can quickly change heights if I'm going up or down hill-it is great. It took me a long while to get my seat angle right to be comfy. Now I've got the rear suspension I don't ever want to go back to a hard tail-it is brilliant. Got the big tyres too-Dave calls it the monster truck because I can just ride over anything now:heehee:

oh and yes-because of lockdown everyone wants bikes and bike accessories. It was so hard to find that bike secondhand-dave drove a couple of hours to go and pick it up. Just so pleased I've got it now. You will just love going round on yours! I've never been to Anglesey (may have been as a baby?!) but it sounds lovely so might put that on our UK holidays list and take the bikes.

The opening of the Olympics 2008 Beijing..My daughter and I took our bikes through the back lanes which were tracks uneven and hills up and down..was doing ok then suddenly came off and being Summer T.Shirt and Shorts...every area that touched the ground hurt..not so much as when it happened before on the seafront between Bexhill and Hastings..pavements hurt much more than dirt tracks...Still got to the sea front and enjoyed the processions for the Celebrations of the Olympics...goods times with my daughter..As soon as the covid goes.... she will be back to holidays in her French Holiday Home..... and we can all get:spinning: together again.

Last Sunday i was talking to my son on the phone, he said that a friend told him that my son's eyes didn't look right. He had trouble with his eyes last summer he thought that it was his hayfever,my son made a appointment at the opticians for today. He phoned me after and said that the optician said that it was his eyes being dried out from wareing a face mask his breath was being diverted into his eyes. He was given a prescription for 2 different eye drops. He's thinking of getting a different mask with the vents in, can get them from Amazon.
The optician said that a lot of people had trouble like that with face masks.

We've always had vented ones, just bought some new ones that are not only vented but are tripled layered too. I have noticed that the ordinary ones don't seem to fit people's faces snugly , so creating gaps where air escapes ( your breathe) and obviously ( not good )outside air gets drawn in!!
Ours have always been made of that flexible material that fits the individual contour of your face. One bonus being that your glasses don't mist up either!:dbgrtmb:

                      If you wear glasses:

I tried a few drops of Fairy Liquid rubbed into the glasses lens and then clean them with a soft cloth, works fine, no steaming up inside.

Thanks @Upsydaisy @pete @john558 yes he's going to get a vented one from Amazon, we have a flexible wire that we put in ours to make it snug around the nose but i don't use mine much because i don't go to many places, never have.

I have always washed my glasses in washing up liquid. which also keeps the nose bridge and arms clean. Can't stand those useless wet glass wipes!

Snap!! So do I Vicky, my Mum always used washing up liquid too.
My dad always bought the wipes and wasn't too pleased if I gave his specs a quick wash!!! It really is the best way to get them clean.:dbgrtmb:

Just the latest. Decided enough is enough..photos wanted video of me working the machine that does not work..last evening was funny with me talking to my credit card company and was actually like a carry on film.. but later I thought soon the person will be back at work giving me more what is now grieve...so I wrote a email saying on behalf of Mr.W who was now ZZZZ and did not think what or plan what to say just let it flow..knowing I just wanted them to take notice...
My wife has had enough. Please do not reply to her any more. The sewing machine has been looked at by a professional. It is faulty. It will arrive at your service dept very soon having taken it to La Poste again. We should not expect to receive and then repair the machine which you stated was not built correctly. Refund is expected now. I will not except any more of your repairs.
My wife was shocked when you repaired the machine and expected her to except this back. Please do not contact her again. She purchased a new machine in good faith, you have he subjected her to..,,,Statements...''When it left here it was working'....you wanted a photo 1st..how is that possible to show the faults. Then you expect a video from her...that is very unacceptable... You have treated her disgustingly..enough is enough.
                              Yours Sincerely,

It should arrive this week the La Poste is very efficient, so once it is received then I can act accordingly.

Just a note about vented face masks. They are not recommended as they can emit virus particles.

Guidance on masks ‘has been lacking’

I use the simple ones with the metal strip that you can bend to fit tightly over the nose and that seems to prevent the air venting upwards towards my eyes - and stops misting up my glasses. If the rest of the mask doesn't fit well enough it can help if you tie a knot in the ear loops to make the loops shorter and the mask fit better. :noidea:
