@Upsydaisy try phoning the surgery again and if the message is still the same then drop a note into the surgery's letter box. :blue thumb:

@shiney I received a 2nd letter this morning from the NHS, reluctantly I did phone and apparently things have changed and once our groups are announced to be active we are now suppose to book in oursleves. Why the NHS letter didn't say this is anyones guess ...it still states we must wait to be contacted directly by our individual sugeries.

So I'm going down this afternoon for mine.:dbgrtmb:

Birdwatching. More specifically, sparrowhawk watching. This beauty showed himself last night when it flew from the ivy corner to the fence and then back to hide behind the secret pond. It's still there, 10 steps from my back door.

I have decided not to do anything as it's not obviously hurt or distressed, and is not a fledgling. I think it's ill so perhaps its best to let it be. OK, I did throw a knob of butter (in want of anything more ornithological) near it, and filled the bird feeders so that it can at least watch the sparrows.

A lovely creature, it's such a privilege to have some wildlife in an urban place like this. :)

@Selleri A few years ago we had a sparrow hawk on our wall it caught a bluetit and was eating it. It's a lovely bird.

The sparrowhawk plot is thickening the sad way. The bird is still there, but as I feared, so are the neighbourhood cats. I took photos and shood away this one, but obviously can't be shooing all the time.

I posted the photos on local Neighbourhood social group and started a pledge to give birds the right of way over cats this spring, and to give the pet cats an indoors holiday until the nesting season is over.

I love cats, and I love birds.

I think that the Sparrow hawk was already sick and that the cat was just there at the time, or the cat just finished him off.

Cats get under our gate and the hedgehogs so i put down a barracade and left a space for the hogs that only they can get in and out.

Just hung the washing out on the line, so it will probably rain.

                Got to mend hubby's jumper.

There's not much of a breeze so don't know if they'll dry much. Mended hubby's jumper so had the opportunity to wash it.

Made an early start on the housework as it was going to be a nice day. Still doing it in small portions though, so only the two upstairs bathrooms today:dbgrtmb:

Also did an early laundry load as I have two loads to get done today.

Morning of gardening tasks and dinner in the garden.

1st load of washing all dry and the 2nd cycle is just about to finish, so that will get hung out too.

Very achy again so seed sowing and more compost preparation will be on the agenda only for the rest of the afternoon now.:)

So far sorted all the laundry out , only a small pile in need of ironing. Vacuumed and dusted two bedrooms...do this every week out of habit ,as our brood use to suddenly call on a Friday evening and ask to be picked up from the station...still like to be prepared!!:heehee:

Had two 25mins sessions ( moving the pad to different areas) on the Tens Machine. Pain free for an hour or two now:blue thumb:....so heading off outside. Will hook up to the machine again while having lunch ( multi- tasking!!:roflol:) , and then again this evening. Certainly seems the best option for me at the moment... and all drug free.

I've got a Tens machine, I've used it for back pain in the past, but i felt that it didn't do much good for the pain, even tried different settings, used to have it on all the time. But I felt better in moving around.

Had mine for for years, brilliant for sciatica and Bursitis discomfort.....and for my knee....so far :fingers crossed:

I agree , I certainly don't sit around either and use it for additional support when doing something else .... normally during meal times or coffee breaks .:dbgrtmb:

Have to say back pain not so beneficial. Doesn't relieve my Osteoporosis discomfort sadly.

Haven't used it for years and years seem to manage without it these days.

We have a smart tv and we watch a lot of YouTube on it. This morning the YouTube channel was playing up, it wouldn't play the videos. After a long time fiddling with it, found out that we could use our smart phone to start to play the videos on the TV. Turns out that it's a Google problem and don't know when it will be fixed.

YouTube is working well now on the TV so Google must have sorted it right away.

This morning did some ironing and done the second walk.
