Thats good , no I realise he couldn't walk the dogs. What I meant was I think you have mentioned before that you can't walk the two dogs at the same time and have to take them out separately each time.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy participating in this forum - especially the banter - :blue thumb:.

      There...I've said it.

No, I haven't been drinking or smoking anything funny .

Just getting ready to go out soon. Nothing exciting ... to the Dentist to have a molar extracted! It is the back lower tooth where I have had a gold (horrors) crown for 36-37 years and it popped off the other day. There is no corresponding tooth above so I want it out!

Anyone want to take my place?

@Victoria hope that it goes well at the dentist.
I've got a crown on a molar and it's loose can't eat anything on that side but have to wait for it to come off.

@Victoria nope. I have no desire to change places with you! :yikes: I don't envy you that. I've never had an extraction and the thought horrifies me.

Today is a stat holiday because it is Canada Day. It also means the electric rates all day long are at the low rate which means I'll be vacuuming the house and doing some laundry. Mundane but it will lighten the load of housework for the weekend. And for the moment, it is sunny and in the 70's so perfect for line drying :blue thumb:

I tidied the workroom yesterday and today I'm going to plan out which new clothes patterns I want to make and how many yards for each pattern. I will be meeting a client at the fabric shop in the next few days so she can get my discount there for material to recover her garden furniture cushions. So I figure I'll combine that trip with buying fabric for me and I'll have the list of yardages handy. :)

Thank you Logan, all went well. Just five injections :hate-shocked: four for the extraction, one more for the stitching. Two Dentists worked together Dra Adriana and Dra Tina plus the Nurse Mariana ... they all talk constantly to you. :dunno: Mariana was fascinated with my blue eyes! Her boyfriend has blue eyes and he wants blue-eyed children. :heehee: Have to use Elugel three times a day for eight days then go back next Thursday for stitches out. Next three days only eat soft food and ice cream/yogurt , sleep with two pillows (do anyway), don't get up quickly (don't anyway). Don't use mouthwash! Take Paracetamol if required or Ibuprofen if really needed. Total price ... 44 Euros which includes next week! It was 8 Euros X-ray, 31 Euros extraction and 5 Euros Anaesthetic. Can't complain. Feel great!

It is not that bad Lori ... you could handle it with ease.

Glad that it went well @Victoria
We're with dental plan insurance so don't need to worry about costs.

I had to have a molar out a few years ago now it was infected and it had a cap on it which didn't fit very well. But now i know how to clean Inbetween them so they're a lot better, but i have receding gums so most of them are a bit loose. It's been happening since i was 25 and now I'm 64 so not bad i suppose.

We don't have insurance, self insure (ie, put into savings what we would pay a company) and I sure don't worry about £37.89! We do it for the cats too.

I have receding gums too and have little flexible picks to clean in between.

That's what have to use, They're very good, wish that I was told years ago but the dentist that i used to see didn't bother, that's why we go private now.
That's good about you self insure, I've thought about that for our dogs but then something major happens and then we're glad that they were.

oh oh, I just realized I am a liar! I forgot that when I was in my twenties, I had my impacted wisdom teeth taken out. I was put under a general anaesthetic at the hospital for that procedure.

My apologies @Victoria . It must have been picturing an extraction in a dental chair that made me shudder.

Today I did vacuum. I did not do the laundry as it started to rain. I did sort through all of my fabric stash and match patterns suitable for them. I did figure out what thread colours I needed to buy to get the sewing done. I did not do any gardening.

And I am now enjoying a spritzer! Cheers - from this naughty little liar

Social life resumes at last!! A big feature of life 8n Lot et Garonne are the marches nocturnes
..night markets. Not markets as such, but open air food fests, communal tables, take your own crockery, cutlery and glassware. Live groups, vast choice of meals and wine, dancing after if you can still move :-). Lovely, friendly atmosphere, get to catch up with friends or make new ones! Every week all over during the summer. Quel bonheur!
