    Thank you
    @Victoria , @Upsydaisy and @Lem
    I'm sure that it will go well, it's just the thought of it. Also it's leaving the boys and hubby having to come back and take them out and then come back to wait in the car, good thing that we only have 2 instead of 5.:heehee: But as hubby said before we can always work round them. Can't take my phone in so I don't know what I'm going to do for the rest of the time.

      I am looking forward to the good news @Logan. It is truly life changing not having to wear glasses or contacts and be able to see the bedside clock.

      Well sometimes. I'm waking up too early these days! :doh:

        Thank you @CanadianLori and everyone else.
        Got back at 4pm from edgbaston Birmingham which on a Friday is bad because everyone is leaving work early and at different times.
        Got there at 12.30 and had drops put in, had to wait for those to work which took 45 minutes. Had my blood pressure taken that was good. Then went to see the surgeon I lay down and he put 2 drops of my anasthetic in and I didn't feel a thing only a lot of water in my eye, had to look at the light and it was over in a few minutes and he put a clear eye patch on. Now it feels like I've got something in my eye but I've taken some painkillers and that's worked. Can't put my glasses on because of the eye patch but I can take it off tomorrow.got to keep my head up at all times for 2 weeks I can't read very well without them so won't post anything till tomorrow.but thanks for the support, here is what the patch looks like, it's got vent holes in it and looking through it seems like glasses with rain drops on.

                  One down, one to go @Logan! Having prescription glasses only for reading will give you lots of fancy choices for readers as they sure don't cost as much. My next pair are going to be real "eye openers" ! :heehee:

                  Yes, try to keep your head up but please know that I had to re-grout a tile floor in my shower the day after one of mine and luckily I wasn't punished for it.

                  I am so glad all went well. Time to celebrate!

                    Thank you all for everything, I can see a lot clearer and things that I don't want to see but there it goes. Need to have the other one done to make the pair.:heehee:

                      Yes, @Logan I spent a couple of weeks after my fix super cleaning. Honestly, I couldn't believe what I had missed because I just couldn't see it no matter how strong my lenses were! A good workout anyway.

                      I popped the one lens I didn't need anymore, out of my spectacles so that I could wear them until my second eye was done. Of course, out in public, it was the one contact lens instead.

                      I am out for a good part of the day on a job. I will be helping my subcontractor with installing some blinds today. There is one that is 10' wide and 8' long and there is no way one pair of hands can do that job.

                      Then I plan to spend a little time puttering in the back yard. Not really gardening though. Got lots of egg shells to crush up and distribute. I'll also be putting some of the cold frames in place as we are now regularly going down below freezing at night.

                        First time I've seen one of these. It's a long and thin hot water bottle. Will try it out tonight - along the bottom of the bed. I'm too tight to put the heating on at night..:thumbsup:

                            Yes @CanadianLori it's not just the cleaning that needs attention, it's how many rinkles I have.:heehee:
                            It's the colours as well especially black lettering that was grey before.

                            We have hot water bottles for the bottom of the bed, never have heating on at night, that only comes on twice a day and only for 20 minutes.

                              @clanless @Upsydaisy @Logan :yikes: BRRRRR

                              I need my heat! I put a double layer of flanelette between the top sheet and the blanket with the duvet on top of those. And now I'm thinking about getting an electric blanket too. I keep the heat on at night but have it programmed to drop down to 68f to at least pretend to be thrifty. :heehee:

                              Installation went well and all unpacked and now relaxing for a bit.

                              It is grey and starting to rain so I won't be puttering outdoors. Besides. It's getting pretty chilly out there.

                              I am now laying out my stash of fabrics and figuring out what patterns to use for each one. That ought be good for a week's worth of dithering and changing my mind about which would be the best use of fabric. I have about 15 different fabrics to ponder. :doh:
