Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

We have an electric underblanket here and T'other Half has been putting his on at night for a while now ... well, we did go into single figures. Being pensioners, we don't scrimp on comfort.

 

I like a warm and toasty bed but not a bedroom. When the temps get cold I put a single duvet on top of my side of the mattress for extra warmth ,this was advice given to me by an orthopaedic consultation many years ago. Snug as a bug!!!
If I had my way I'd have all our big windows open too at night!!

 

They're not wrinkles they're laughter lines!!!

 

Agree! Some people might question how I laugh with my decoltee, as that's where the grooves appear on my person. The muzzle is ok-ish but the chest area is a tram depot lookalike.

On a similar note, I'm at an age when whereas I'm usually freezing to death. 10 minutes later I'm hot enough to keep a moderate sized village toasty for a month, plus providing enough sweat to ensure world's oceans stay stabile. Try getting a good night's sleep with that... The answer for me is a cool room and a superwarm blanket. The blanket goes on and off as dictated by the blooming hormonal thingamabobbies.

Agree totally, but I was "fortunate" I went through it in my mid/late 40s.

Sadly I took after my Mum and was in my late 30s.....horrid times.

 

That's terrible.
My mum did as well, I was about 5 and she thought that she was pregnant again. She had a D&C it worked for a few months but it came back again so she didn't bother going back to the Dr. I thought that i might be the same but no.
At the time i remember her talking to our neighbour because we were close and my dad and me went to visit in hospital but I had to wait in the waiting room, those days children wasn't aloud in the wards.

 

I didn't mind really as we had our brood and it got it out of the way, both my sister's were in their 50s when their time came.
So as far as I was concerned it wasn't too terrible.I had all the relevant blood tests and had to go into hospital to have my womb linings measured so I always knew what it was.....once over and done with it was happy days!

 

Wasn't as bad as it sounds honest Vicky..lets face it we women have to put up with some very' personal ' things don't we.

I have never heard of such an examination! Maybe it is only if you've had children.
