Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

We'll buy half a dozen from our lovely local bakery nearer the time as we're not too keen on mince pies. Because of the virus we tend to meet up with friends outside, (garden or cafe) so apart from our brood (oh and a friend of 40years) nobody comes into our house at present. So no real entertaining done..even our brood don't eat them ...not sure why we even have them , suppose it helps with the Christmassy feel !!!

 

Oh that's great news Vicky ,you must both feel so relieved to have it all done and dusted now!!

More plants on their way to your gorgeous garden then!!

I watch this guy a lot and just watched this one about talent shows, one in particular.

 

Fortunately we don't watch any of them.

 

Vicky...did you include all the furniture as well....oops a bit of Homes in the Sun creeping in there..

 

Just finished sticking all the stamps on the Christmas card envelopes ,I will get them in the post next time I past the box.
That's them out of the way..the boxes have been lurking for a month now and I keep having to move them out of the way.

 

Yes, Upsy, fully furnished. That is quite normal here. When we sold the IoW apartment we did the same, including a car. Obviously you take things you want if they are special.

 

It looked super Vicky...I'm envious of the new owner.

 

Actually I saw a car included in a sale on Homes in the Sun recently!!

 

I haven't sent cards for years, perhaps 15 or more. Cards are not a big thing here, for any event. I don't even know where a card shop is, if indeed they exist! Iceland does have a small card section I believe. Here you phone/text/visit/etc.

 

A company from Cascais/Lisbon bought it as a rental property and they said they are going to turn the large storage room (not mentioned in the details) next to the bathroom into a second bathroom which is great for a rental as storage is not required. Each bedroom has double built-in closets with storage closets above for general use. Yes, it is lovely and spacious ... think we spent one night in it in the 22 years we owned it.

 

I do send ecards a lot too ( as you know ) especially to our family and friends abroad.

I always send environmentally friendly cards that are sourced from sustainable resources and do not have ornamental attachments or the dreaded.....glitter!! So despise the stuff!!
They don't even come in boxes encased in plastic wrapping either.

The cost of postage is horrendously scary, despite knowing the price of the stamps beforehand, I still am on the verge of collapse at handing over the money!!

 

One night! Did you rent it out ?
Good idea about creating an additional bathroom....can't go wrong on that move.
