We had a movie weekend. Some of our favourite actors, Bette Midler in First Wives Club, then Gene Wilder in Silver Streak. Yesterday we watched Billy Crystal in Analyze This and Woopie Goldberg in Sister Act. Of course we have seen these all before. X-Files now before dinner, fresh Chicken and Mushroom Pasta ....

OK, the heat is on. :dancy:

My niece, 5, has already done her gingerbread horse stables, complete with stacks of hay and stable-y equipment hanging on the wall. Pretty impressive. OK, magnificent! She's a star :wub2:

We'll have the final round of Skype gingerbread judging next Sunday so we'll be very busy on Friday to get the dough done (it takes all evening to make and overnight to chill) and on Saturday to create the Selleri household masterpieces.

I'll go for the super traditional cottage with fir trees, possibly with glazed windows if we finally figure out how to chop boiled sweets without losing too many fingertips. (Luckily none of us is into concert violinism as a career choice)

The Teenager is committed to her sarcastic "rough area" style with graffited walls, outline of a removed gingerbread man corpse and boarded over windows (so much easier than glazed ones... cheating...)

Last year's entries below- this year I'll add a moose in the background to bag the win

      Competitive? Us? :heehee:

I decorate outside December 1st, inside December 15th and everything comes down December 31st or January 1st latest.

I spent my morning making a few baguettes for bruschetta later, watching my beloved Corrie and getting some fabric mini trees ready for their cinnamon stick trunks to be attached. I'm making one for each of the ladies attending the Christmas luncheon this coming Thursday. And doing laundry.

It is just above freezing so I won't be doing anything outside which means I have time to do some more sewing before going out to meet some friends. I've got two luncheons and a brunch booked so it's going to be a busy week for socializing! And I've got a doctor's appointment for me (just getting my prolia shot) and taking Sam to her i.v. medication session on the remaing two days.

At least I won't be bored :rolleyespink:

North Wales Police - they don't mess about...

On Friday afternoon local police officers responded to reports of a robbery at a store on Bridge Street.

Within 13 minutes of the report being made, officers had located the suspect, who was then detained and arrested. The male was subsequently charged and has been remanded into custody after appearing in court.

We just sorted out the bed linen and I ordered two new fitted sheets from Amazon Germany, 160 x 200 x 40 deep. Got a Mint Green and a Yellow Corn to mix and match. We have three Summer and three Winter sets. Need to do the towels next.

T'other Half picked this up for me today from Decathalon so have to gently work into stepping ... it has distance and timing on it but I will be going slowly, very slowly ...

I did a little bit of errand running. Went to the doc's for my Prolia jab. Whilst there, verified that my scales aren't lying and somehow, although checked twice, I am 1/2" taller. No shoes, flat hair, nothing different than the height measure. Go figure. They must have put a new rubber mat or something on the base of the scale.

I picked up some paint brushes to use on cinnamon sticks to try to make some Santa ornaments. And I picked up some groceries, spritzer mix, and trays for cookies. I used to use really nice metal trays but unfortunately not many were returned to me so I am now using cheap Dollar store plastic ones for those people who toss things after one use. (yes, I did create a "naughty and nice" list!)

I received a call from a client, just wanting to say hello and chat. I get lots of those and do enjoy them. I must be a real "Chatty Cathy" when I'm out there that they feel comfortable calling

              Now on to painting.

              Cheers all! ;)

Couldn't do much outside today as there was hail - so I sat in the potting shed reading Garden Answers magazine. I looked up and saw a Wood Pigeon - it was sitting in the tree staring at me. The staring competition commenced. The Wood Pigeon won....

Yes, Upsy, I had that one some years ago but gave it to my friend as I found it very stiff and difficult. I got this one because of the handle and my balance ... or lack thereof! :rolleyespink:

Our friend is coming over in about an hour for a couple of drinks and catch up. It is about 17c and sunny/cloudy but with a sharp gusty wind so we will sit indoors.

Our friend arrived .... after T'other Half had to go rescue him ... he ran out of diesel a few kilometers away! :loll:

He saw my new Stepper with Handle and made note ... a Christmas present for himself as he needs to build up muscle and cannot balance well either!
