      Just a tad over 3 miles today. It was very cold and frosty when we set off early morning. I would like to aim for 20miles this week but I don't think it will happen due to the weather. I have a couple of shorter walks planned for really wet/ cold days and I have a feeling tomorrow could be one!! I'm a bit concerned about all the wet leaves that become quite slippy underfoot,especially if I'm out on my own. We saw nobody this morning during our walk.

            Just under 3 miles today, only planning on walking over to see my brother tomorrow...so far this week it adds up to slightly over 16 miles.:hapydancsmil: Hoping to notch up to 20 by Sunday. It's a painful task but I do feel that my leg feels more stable....not sure what effect it's having on the 'significantly torn' ligament ,only time will tell. I still think my long awaited appointment to actually see the Surgeon 'in person' won't happened, but..:fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

            I won't bore you next week I promise;) ...I'm just so please at what I've managed to achieve this week, a New Years resolution that I will keep up, despite having to break through the pain barrier at the start of each walk, as I've really missed out daily walks over the last two years.

              Going to have a look at a rescue cat with a view to it joining us and Lily. We recently lost our elder cat, Lucy, to kidney failure.

                    Went on a very soggy walk to my brother's. Hubs needed to call into B&Q so I had a meander around the seeds and gardening section but nothing caught my eye.
                    2.83 miles today ( every little step counts:heehee:) got absolutely soaked! Now drying off and slurping a big bowl of homemade spicy vegetable soup.

                    Tomorrow's the day..will I reach my 20mile goal..:fingers crossed::fingers crossed:...maybe if my walking boots dry out!;)

                        Aww bless you dear Vicky thank you.:wub2:

                        I have to admit ,and please I don't want to sound as if I'm blowing my own trumpet, that I'm a tad proud of myself too.;)
                        Have to say I found it a toughie today and my knee was very painful.....not sure if it was the heavy rain or that I stopped halfway to see my brother for an hour and as is the norm I stiffened up.

                        Never mind I made it home.. I did threatened hubs that he might have to give me a piggy back ride !!:roflol:

                          You just answered what I was going to ask. How is your knee taking it all? I lost track of what is happening with it. Last I remember, you were looking forward to a visit with the specialist and crossing your fingers he wouldn't change it to a virtual one.

                          I've done all the chores I want to get finished with today. All that is left is tidying in the kitchen and that I will do as I listen to my beloved Corrie street in the morning.

                          I've just put the pieces of a new top together and will leave the topstitching for another day. Now down to the kitchen to form another batch of bread dough. The loaf I made this morning stuck to the pan and was a complete mess. :doh:

                            Well, we went to see the rescue cat and both fell in love with her the moment we saw her (as I knew we would). Molly is tiny, though 18 months old and the mother of two litters. She is very friendly and not phased at all by two masked strangers. Molly will be neutered on Wednesday then we can pick her up once the vet is happy for us to do so.
                            Molly actually works in with our naming convention (Lucy and Lily), not that we would have changed her name if it didn't. Lucy too came to us with her name already.
                            This was our Lucy, sadly missed.

                                My three hyacinths are finally starting to flower so I dug cupboards and garage upside down to find a nice, low display bowl. Nothing.

                                :ideaIPB: I'll make one! After some pondering, I found my wools and knitting stuff and dusted my very limited crocheting skills. Not very professional, but it's white and does the job. The lumps and bumps are there on purpose to give an interest in the texture :heehee:
