@Upsydaisy I just followed the link and all I can say is OOOWWWW!!!

I understand that they get you up quickly after any knee operation these days and hope you are able to be back on your feet quickly.

Yes, lots will be challenging but you sound like a person who can do the recuperation battle! :dbgrtmb:

Definitely not if I can help it Pete!!

After witnessing my brother gradually ,since the age of 18, becoming completely disabled and having all his major bones replaced ( several times over) or fused for what!! !Today he's crippled with constant pain and can hardly move and had to pack up working in his 3Os.
I personally think that if he had held onto his own joints for a bit longer he would've been able to continue doing all the sports that he loved for a while longer and have reaped their benefits.
He used to be a competitive swimmer, taught Judo, Ski, Cycle and loved his motor bikes. Sadly he couldn't carry on once he had multiple replacements, apart from swimming but then the only disabled swim session was cancelled at our local leisure centre a few years ago and now all his joints are set like cement!
Sadly my sister had both knees replaced 2 years ago and is rapidly heading down the same path too.

The only metal I agreed on was to have fusions in both feet.....as I couldn't contemplate not being able to walk.

Well the private consultant said I need two knee joints, it remains to be seen what the NHS bloke says, I cant see how they can remove the meniscus and leave the joint in place, surely you will be bone on bone then.

I didn't read all of it.
But I have heard of them removing just a torn piece but not the whole thing.

Interesting snippet taken from an e-mail from my energy supplier:

At the moment, customers on standard variable tariffs are protected from price rises until the Government price cap is updated in April. That means for an average home, we are currently buying energy for about £2000 and selling it for £1300.

Luckily my Mum is on a fixed tariff until 2024 - one of the big 6 suppliers - and less than my unit rate.

75% increase for energy bills from April - I blame Vladimir...

Yesterday I've been having problems with my cataract surgery eye that i had done last week on Monday.
Started seeing floaters mainly with bright lights, so going to have it checked this morning at 10.45 at the opticians.
It doesn't seem to be getting worse so hopefully it's ok.

Thank you @Upsydaisy just got back and everything is fine, he said that because I can see better I can see them. He looked at the back of my eye and it was normal. So I was worrying over nothing but had to get it checked.
