@Logan I am to hear you're okay. I didn't have floaters but I did experience almost "strobe" light effects once in awhile for the first month.

And good that you checked it out. :dbgrtmb:

Good to hear all is OK .

I have floaters all the time - it's 'normal' for a healthy eyeball I believe. I can see them now and I'm in a fairly dim lit room - they have never bothered me. I just ignore them :blue thumb:.

Just come back in from sitting in the Sun - in the back garden. Come on Spring - get a shift on...:spinning:

This bloke must be either a very safe driver or a very lucky man.

A man stopped by police told officers he had been driving with no licence or insurance for more than 70 years. Officers said the driver - born in 1938 - told them he had been driving with no licence or insurance since he was 12 and had never been stopped by police.

Very little coverage of covid by the beeb - even they can see there's nothing to report - it's over.

Been a subdued day, well the last week has. One of my daughters best friends passed away unexpectedly, only 17 years old. She and a few other friends attended the funeral today, she sobbed all the way back home when I picked her up, so sad.

@gks, I'm sorry to hear this and hope your daughter and you are managing. It's so profoundly sad when a young life ends.

Just coming up to a week now. Mrs C is pleased - that's what matters - and I can tell that the weight is dropping off.

Just having breakfast and a high protein meal turns out to be a good move. Once I've had the main meal I don't think anymore about what I'm going to have to eat for the rest of the day.

The low calorie pop is also a big help - I tend to have a glass or two to wash down the main meal.

I'm continuing to take the usual vitamin and cod liver oil supplements.

This could be the approach to eating which will help me maintain a healthy weight - so it may well be that it moves from the realms of a diet to lose weight - to a normal eating approach to maintain a healthy weight.

We'll see how it goes - but so far - :blue thumb:.

@clanless well done, it will be good if you can continue as a life long sustainable diet.
That's what my diet is and it does help a lot. I've been on a lot of diets, the first one was from the Dr. when I was 11 years old and 11st. it was a low carb diet but I was devastated when I couldn't eat bread and potatoes, but I did loose a lot but didn't stay on it.

                              Hi @clanless

Thought this info might be of help -

We are not diet /health experts but some years ago we were ordering Multivits and Cod Liver Oil and the company contacted us suggesting the those two in combination, long term, were not a good match, and that Omega3 Fish Oils would be better, cannot for sure remenber the reason think it might have been too much Vit A.
( though you do see them sold as both in one tablet these days, but think thats becuase they are at a much lower dose)

As Cola drinkers in our earlier years, one thing made very clear later on is that fizzy drinks, with sugars or sweeteners are not good for you.
Lots of heathier alternative drinks around, though it can be a challenge for your taste buds.
