Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

Eek you are going fast. I am doing 15 minutes every morning when I get up and thought I was doing good with 4kms ... that's just about 2.5 miles!!!

 

Had a invitation to have a pneumonia jab yesterday that i will take up. Hubby was disappointed that he didn't get one, he's a few months older than me.

 

Had friends over we haven't seen for 2-1/2 years. They are from Bromley but have a place here ... he and I used to work together in High Wycombe and he came to our apartment and decided to buy that week . Lots of catching up. Sat indoors because although it was sunny there we had sharp gusty winds. They admired the garden ... they have a beautiful one too around their 1800s 4 -story home!

 

Strange he didn't get one, I had mine at the same time as my very 1st flu jab back in 2019. He should query it.

 

Glad you had a nice catch up with your friends Vicky. Their house sounds lovely..4 storeys...WOW!

Just peddling to my excersise play list. I don't think it's particularly fast , not even sure my knee does fast anything anymore!

 

He has a different surgery to me, his is in town and mine is local. It was the other way around with the flu jab.

 

That's great @Victoria nice to see people again.

 

But I go pretty fast and don't see how you can go so much further in less time.

Mine is an Aircycle...perhaps that makes a difference.
I have longer legs....??
I also have it set on the first setting ,as the surgeon advised, so very little resistance.
You're doing amazingly well Vicky, I'm trying to aim for 15mins but it's still proving a bit too much at the moment.

No worries really as long as we're both doing our exercises.

I've only just attached the Electronic Module back on it for interest, it reads time, speed, distance, rpm and calories.
It's the length of time that I can comfortably pedal for that I'm working on not the distance.....for the time being at least until I see the surgeon again next month.

Our bodies all work at different levels with different capabilities so making comparisons isn't advisable.

I've said it before that your recovery journey is inspirational .

 

Sorry don't get what you mean...other way round?
It shouldn't make a difference which surgery he attends as everyone over 65 is offered it.,so he should still check it out and inform them that they missed him.
