We came in from pottering in the garden just before 2 o'clock and I pit the Crime Channel on ... and there was Episode 1 of the Madeline McCann investigation which I think airs Tuesday evenings there.

It is very interesting. They go to a place called Foral where Christian B rented a place. This is down the road from the restaurant we went to last Friday O Foral. We encountered the couple he stayed with way back when. They had five foster children from Germany they received 1,000 a month for each. We thought they were con artists.

Got my cone swag today and it's lovely. Can't take it out of the box so took some close up pics. The white is called frosting but can call it flocking and have to be careful because it does fall off just like the Christmas trees that we have.

We took both Toby and Lily to the vet this morning to get their claws trimmed. Toby was a nightmare and struggled something rotten (he is a big strong cat). Once I ended up with blood running down my arm the vet called for another vet to assist. And once he had been clawed he went for gauntlets! There was no malice in Toby. He was just struggling to get free.
Lily was her usual self and let Madge hold her while her nails were trimmed but I think the trauma of seeing Toby struggling has upset her and she won't let him go near her. Next time they go we will take them into the surgery one at a time.

Durham police are investigating whether Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer broke lockdown rules on a visit during which he drank beer in an MP's office.

Labour has insisted no rules were broken during Sir Keir's visit.

Boris said exactly the same thing. I wonder if Keir is going to resign when he gets his fine - as he wanted Boris to?

Took my good lady to the local hospital for a Zoledronic Acid infusion. Only one more to go and that is her finished with that.

At 5am this morning there was a fire in one of the industrial estates near us, some of the units caught fire there was a explosion first then the fire.
This is what we could see from our house.

A LARGE fire broke out at a building on an industrial estate at Padgets Lane this morning.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called at 4:57am to deal with the incident, where they received support from West Midlands Fire Service and Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Ten fire engines were deployed to the scene where two aerial ladder platforms were used to limit the spread of the flames before putting pockets of fire out.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the fire.

The service said that good progress is being made and officers are investigating the cause of the fire.

They expect to be dealing with the incident for up to 12 more hours and are advising residents to avoid the area and to keep doors and windows closed if you are within the smoke plume
