Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

Today I met up for coffee with an old workmate I have not seen in 34 years. He has lived and worked all over the world since we last met and has now retired to Northern Ireland. He is in Scotland for Christmas with family and emailed me for a meeting.
Later in the day, I took delivery of my new (to me) Skoda Fabia. I won't get it on the road until the New Year as there is little point in a month's tax for ten days, but I did get the opportunity to shuffle it in the drive so I could get my Jazz in, off the road.
All in all a busy and exciting day.

Had a lovely wander round today and it was, to our surprise, not unbearably crowded either.
St Paul's, from various angles. Would have gone to the carol service but the queue was a 2 hour wait.



Sky Garden....will definitely try and go next time but today was booked up.



Borough Market, mulled cider stall..well you can't just walk by can you ! Just as we couldn't the mulled wine one either.

Had a play with my new car today. Just sat in the drive but I spent time setting up the seats, mirrors etc and just familiarising myself with it.

 

We've just got back from the local M&S Food Hall, prices were ridiculously reduced!! Yum!

Oops missed a day out here, this was last Friday.


Walked along the canal.


Spotted some of the wildlife.

Son and I just had to sample the mulled wine.






We watched as a lock was opened to allow a houseboat/ barge to pass through..gosh it looked hard work!!

 

Finally had a leisurely stroll through some side lanes exploring the antique shops and stalls.


As I love really old maps this was my favourite stop.



Then we stopped off and for the very first time in my life I had Sushi .

 

Now for today ( Monday)


Not forgetting the most important part....have to keep our strength up for all this exploring.
