Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

Scuse me! My dog has been brought up with manners. I hope.....

 

Took over some Christmas tree decorations for my great nephews ( both not 2 until next year) . I make them some each year , so that they will eventually have a nice collection . Also made my 'Christmas Mad sister a Santa's laundry line , but still have to add a pair of socks to it

 

Did you knit those yourself?

I love knitting but as I don't put up decorations have no need to knit Xmas ones.

 

Yes, when the evenings start getting longer I knit them on request for family and friends, just a couple for each. Their small size makes it a nice task for the dark winter evenings. Already have a list of requests for next year too!!!

Do you have patterns for those?

 

Some yes, but I tend to mix them up a bit too. I take bits from various patterns and swop them about....the Elf wasn't like his pattern at all, I pinched the body and limbs from Santa's pattern!!

 

I do the same! I knit a lot of baby cardigans but tend to adapt the patterns. I do have a pattern for a Tardis which is pretty simple. And one for a Dalek. Which isn't!

 

Knitting small items is a lovely way of spending my time in the winter. We don't watch much tv, we are listening to music as I post this. I keep promising myself that I will knit some for our local charity shops, but I end up with so many people asking me to make them some that I have yet to achieve this
