    Today's top tip.

Cat claw scratches on leather furniture can be easily disguised by using a liquid shoe polish.

Went shopping :yikes: but the shops were quieter than I can remember for an Xmas Eve.

First call was B&Q for 10p Xmas trees, but they seem to have got rid of them all yesterday.

By 10:30 Morrisons were reducing to 5p everything that would be out of date by the time they reopened on Boxing Day (but some 5p stuff was use by 28th).

Left the car there (free parking), collected a John Lewis order from Waitrose and got a load more 5p stuff on the way back.

Called in atTesco to stock up on their 29p veg deals and bought all the 90% off reduced cheese at the deli counter.

As it's the last day of the £5 Wyevale voucher, went to Blue Diamond and did loads of multiple shops to top up our haul of freebies.

A typical sort of Xmas Eve for us, but there didn't seem to be very many people about, I suspect retailers may have had a hard time this year.

Hello everyone , hope you're all having a fabulous time. Spend the morning over at my Dad's with my hubs, sons, both sisters, brother, niece, nephew in- law and great nephew, lovely family time.
Came home to a very yummy dinner and am now settling down to watch Jungle Book ( 4th time!:)) . Youngest son worked on it so we always love to sit through the end credits of his films to proudly see his name scroll down the screen.......perfect for rounding off our Christmas!:santa clap:

Enjoy the rest of this festive day :santa wave:

We went for a chilly walk in the forest, met a lot of friendly people and dogs and came home to have a light lunch of a roll and a cuppa. Now relaxing. :blue thumb:

I've just finished Curse of the Were-Rabbit and will be doing dinner for me and the mutt.

Took George for a walk earlier and checked on the community Christmas Tree. It's one that someone planted a few years ago on the local green space. It's now about 7 foot tall and this year I had the idea of putting a few baubles on to cheer everyone up a bit. It's a been a tough year round here. And then I put on the community FB page that I was doing it. And over the last week or so, quite a few other people have put a few baubles on and a couple of bits of tinsel as well. But you can tell no-one really tall lives round here as there's nothing higher than 6 foot! :D

Woke up at 4.45 and the boiler wasn't working,mi might be the fan. Still under warranty so they're coming on Friday sometime, know exactly when on friday.
It's just the 2 of us and we had lovely
turkey dinner at 11.30am. Gave the dogs/boys a bit of turkey dinner.
I did the washing up then had a nap. Woke up at 2pm made a cup of tea still full up. Walked the boys then felt a bit better.

Decided on a walk to burn some of it off as I had been a bit of a tiggy so managed 3 miles and got a good blood result when we got home back to base camp. Found a nice drinks glass (no pubs in site when I was litter picking:scratch:) so popped that into my rucksack and also found a nice flock of 25+ Bramblings feeding on the edge of a field which was nice but didn’t pop them into my rucksack:snorky:

Had a good Christmas day, yesterday.
Worked out that the turkey would take 5 hours, checked it in 4 hours and it was done.
Wished i checked it earlier, the legs fell off when i lifted it up, but at least it was cooked.

Popped out to the local Spar shop and got some bacon & sausages to have with the left over turkey which was sliced up and cooked in turkey gravy granules so it was nice and hot:biggrin:
