@luciusmaximus that is going to be a problem for anyone buying a house on Anglesey to suddenly find they have a wind farm going up at the bottom of their garden:yikes: When we saw the first turbine that had gone up in Cornwall we were amazed at the size of it and stopped to take photos as it was a new thing but now they have been springing up everywhere and we even have one single turbine outside our village and some of the families in the big six bedroom mansions are unhappy as they stand at their kitchen sink and see it spinning round :heehee: Our village has now got far too big and the school has had to be extended quiet a few times
because the youngsters started breeding as soon as they moved in so the population has sky rocketed:yikes:

We are close to the local footpaths across the fields and have an old disused railway that we can walk along now it has been turned into a cycle path but the noise from the lorries on the A14 makes it unpleasant at times.:sad:We also have a large reservoir to walk round but in the summer like the cycle path you have to jump out of the way of the cyclists and joggers as they hurtle past:mad:

I used to like the Coast programme and it was nice to see them walking where we have walked and while I was stuck indoors I got back into Escape to The Country with Jules Hudson:snorky:

I would just love to move somewhere with a bit bigger garden as I am rapidly filling this one although I have made sure it is wildlife friendly:biggrin:

@Jack Sparrow your brother in law probably does very well with his caravan at Sunny Hunny as it is a popular destination with both holiday makers and birdwatchers especially in the Autumn for the birdwatchers when the migrants start coming inland for the winter months:smile:

@Kandy we had the same problem as you when we lived down south with the village having gotten so large and noise levels, etc. The area has become a concrete jungle. Plus we had to travel to get to a beach or a forest. I can sympathize with you and if you are unhappy about certain aspects now then it's likely they will get worse. Maybe now is the time for you and Mr Kandy to go, seize the moment, life is too short. You might regret it if you don't.

I looked at Snowdonia again on Rightmove last night. And Scotland. There are parts of Scotland where prices are reasonable although I'm not sure about the weather. Don't mind hard winters if there is a nice summers to look forward to but summers seems to be cooler and cloudier - from what I've read. I've not been to Scotland. Ireland is one place where you can buy a property with land really cheaply. I've seen some amazing places in Southern Ireland.

The things you have to endure when you’re a grandparent. Yesterday I picked the grandchildren up from school. While my wife prepared the tea I was obliged to watch a tv program about cheerleading. It wasn’t easy but I saw it through for their sakes.

Today, was a bit cold at first but warmed up by mid day. It was an ideal day to play golf, although the fairways were still a bit wet. ...Beats workin' any day!

Cheerleading is quite a serious endeavour, I think it should be included in the Olympics, after all they've got beach volleyball.

I quite like watching "America's Sweethearts."

An interesting set of pictures. It just goes to show how big puppies can get. A lot of people assume it will stay small forever.

I couldn’t go out yesterday as I was expecting somebody at the house. Instead I spent the time sorting through my photos. I used to take all my photos on my iPad but now that doesn’t work, I have no access to them. Since then I have been “borrowing” my wife’s iPad. So I don’t use up her stotage I delete the photos soon after I post them. That makes it very difficult to access my photos when I need to refer to them.

Yesterday I systematically scrolled through all my posts since I joined in July last year. All my photos are now safely stored and catalogued on my pc. I will have to remember to keep up with it.

                      G.

I played golf in the morning then after lunch, having seen the first half live last night, I watched my recording of the second half of the Superbowl, (I fast forwarded through Justin Timberlake's half time performance), then I watched, Queen & Country, then, Suffragette.

I recently changed my energy supplier, from Scottish Power, with whom, I've been for several years, to Together Energy. It was quite painless. It'll save me £500 a year. These energy companies rely on "inflicting the loyalty penalty," as many people either don't thin they can get one, or can't be bothered to change, accepting "the best deal," their present supplier offers them.

Went the the dentists today for a check up. While he was poking around - for some reason which I cannot fathom - I bit down on his finger.

                          How embarrassing .

Spent the day, decorating on my day off, papered the ceiling and walls.

Only needs wood work glossing and wallet emulsioning.
