Put a second coat of paint on the wall around the window. Got a roller blind for the window when I've finished the walls.

Today Wed. 16th. Attended out patients in responce to text message of a couple of days ago. Greeted by my top urologist, very easy chap to talk to. I had another op in January. As I heard nothing further until a few days ago, I thought everything was OK. Daughter Amanda owned up saying she was getting worried and took it upon herself to contact the hospital.

My top consultant was full of apologies. Seems some of the reports and info never got to the major department. Following Amanda's enquiries the ball started to roll. Now the top man is going all out to find out why. As a result, I attended Guy's hospital on Friday and it was seen the cancer had returned. This friday I have to go for pre-accessment and should be admitted a few days later. Certainly no waiting about.

@Mike Allen I'm sending you my strength via datastream. Grab hold as it will boost you up!

I'm glad your family advocates for you. Hospitals have so many pieces of information and humans processing it that mistakes and omissions seem to multiply. I got a bill yesterday for a another lense from my cataract surgeries. They must have done the third eye in the middle of my forehead as I had already paid for the left and right! And, today I got a call to confirm another cataract surgery for next month. They were a little startled that I don't have any more eyes needing fixing.

I visited my local fabric shop to purchase material for a new winter coat. Bought the same colour and weave as I had used for my last coat which had worn out after 20 years. :rolleyespink: And I am going to use the same pattern, a swing coat style, so no one is going to believe me that I made a new one

I also purchased fabrics to have on hand for the next granddaughter sleepover weekend. They love to learn and use the big girl machines.

And another batch of ice cream got churned. 3 down, two to go:thumbsup:

Many thanks Lori. Yes family support is so valid. My beloved wife Valerie sadly passed away 9.6.2010. She failed to wake up following heart surgery. We'd been married 49yrs. We were blessed with two daughters. Kerry & Amanda. Kerry now lives in the New Forest. Hampshire. England. She gave us our 1st. grandddaughter, now married. I haven't seen any of them for at least five years. Kerry phones at times.
Amanda has had two failed marriages. Both having ended due to infidelity of the husbands. She has given us two grand kids. Joshua & Chloee. Josh is working hard and Chloee is at uni doing a degre course with hons in photography. Amanda has a medical degree in Anatomy & Physiology as she was a sports physio. Sadly she is now very disabled. She clings to me like a limpet, and Josh & Chloee love me to bits. Amanda has gone through so much and seems to spend much time in hospitals,as an outpatient I joke and ask when her season ticket expires. Sadly one of her medical probles is the onset of Parkinsons. So I have appointed her as my PA. Every day she phones me and most days she calls in for a cuppa etc. Truly she is worth her weight in gold. For me, attending hospital, she likes to come in also and talk to the consultant. I had second thoughts at first but now, I can see that this is all helping her memory and fight against Parkinsons. I read medicine for three years, so I enjoy the chit chat in the consulting room.

So my dear Lori and forum friends. Thanks for listening and may your family gather close around you also. Stay Safe and Stay Well. mike.

My day today will be medical related but, thankfully, not to do with me. One part is about a new innovation of a medical and engineering development centre being built near here and the other is helping with a rather serious medical claim against a hospital. :dunno:

I hope to get some gardening done in between.

@Mike Allen sorry that it's come back, it's great to have a daughter like that and hope that she gets on well with her Parkinsons. All the best on Friday.

Last night I had a bit of a problem. I arrived home about 11.30 and it was raining gently. As I drove into our driveway Sarafi (the cat from four doors away who thinks he owns our place) walked up the driveway and plonked himself down right in front of the car.

I tried edging forward very slowly but, of course, can't see the ground directly in front of the car. Fortunately I could just see his shadow thrown on the driveway by the headlights. He got up, took two paces backwards and sat down again. This happened a number of times.

A lot of you know my driveway and that it's quite large with it curving right round. I normally drive round the curve and then revers along a straight bit to my parking position. After he had backed up a fair distance I reached the curve and got past him. I then started reversing, slowly, and saw in my reversing camera that he had decided that I wouldn't be allowed to reverse any further . He walked straight up to the rear of the car and stuck his nose on the reversing camera!!! :hate-shocked:

At that stage I gave up and left the car there. He followed me to the front door and tried to squeeze past me. I had to ring the bell for Mrs Shiney to come along as I had my hands full and couldn't push him away. She sorted him out after giving him some friendly strokes.

Although it was raining he's a breed of cat that is quite happy in the rain. He's usually quite insistent on trying to come indoors but usually settles for a bit of petting - and a cuddle if he's dry. He has never faced down the car before!

Popped down to the builders yard to pick up some timber for my new vine trellis.

For some reason - I decided that it would be a good idea to reverse the car into a pile of timber - placing a massive dent in the rear corner of the bumper. On reflection, it was probably Corbyn's fault  for distracting me, by agreeing to an early election.

Got home and pushed out the bumper from behind - small crack and split in plastic - but then the car is 11 years old - so I'm not going to get too excited about it. This is why I always buy old bangers.

Had two phone calls from the hospital saying my appointment had been changed. I asked for this to be texted to me. Later in the afternoon, another call from admissions giving me a date and time for my op. The woman was so surprised when I said I had just come home, having had it all done and I was in a lot of pain. What a mix up. Later Amanda waited over an hour on the phone, to sort this all out. All she got was. All our operatives are busy. Please continue to wait.
