So it looks like an outside space/concrete area more than a garden, i.e. no soil? Still, lots of scope for adaptability. Have you checked with any of the other residents if they are interested in the garden, i.e. to help you? (Seems a lot to do on your own). Or, could be you are hoping to monopolise the area? Only just seen this thread sorry you have had problems

What a job though and so much potential

Good work so far in the sorting is there much you could reuse or upcycle?

Loads of soil but it seems to be from decayed furniture/ rubbish.

So wont be growing food in it.

Do I spy an old bow saw in there too? Stick a new blade in that and it'll be good as new. Ideal for tackling those overgrown trees at the back.

I just see potential there. Some well chosen vines (and I don't mean bleedin' Ivy!!), choice container plants, Sempervivum and Saxifrag encouraged to grow in the walls and so on. Talk about a secret garden!

The bathtub would make a good/substantial container, perhaps placed horizontally at the end of the yard (so as not to take up side space).

That bathtub would make a great container for a load of stinky comfrey water and would discourage others from going anywhere near your stuff.

Is that wall on the left hand side South facing?

If so, it would be ideal for some tiered shelving to maximise the use of limited space, something like this, with ex-Morrisons flower buckets planted with cordon tomatoes at low level, and other stuff above.

...and wasn't there a post about a pallet garden not that long ago? A good way to get depth and colour onto the walls, without loosing too much space :)
