Zig's Theory on Smoking

Anyone remember 5 Parkdrive in a packet,even though I was bought up in a smoking house hold it was my part time job on the farm where I started smoking "to keep the midges away"
Teachers used to smoke aswell I remember "Pop Wright" at junior school always had his pipe on.
A couple of years ago i did a bit of research on the chemicals in cigs and some are very dangerous they are put into ready made fags to keep them alight and add flavour,I now only smoke roll ups and if their are any additives they are put there by me,

I think all those 'smoking kills' messages on the side of cig packets are counter-productive. Teenagers just think they're cool. They need to invent something which is very, very uncool. What do you reckon? How about 'Warning: Smokers Wet Themselves'. :D

 

I remember them. A friend of mine had a dog called Woodbine, it had no legs.
He used to take it out for a drag every evening......:D

Also, I knew a bloke who went into a chinese takeaway and asked for twenty No.6.....he got half a ton of rice.

What is "uncool", is having C.O.P.D. brought about by smoking far, far too many cigarettes, for far, too long......over 60 a day for about 47 years. :(:(:(

Interesting thread! I was a smoker of twenty years and I have to say I loved smoking but then I got with child and had to stop. Bah... I have since tried a) smoking again which I hated as it smelled so bad and yet why does it smell so good when I pass someone smoking in the street! and b) vaping - electronic cigarettes but though some are not bad they're strike me as very untested as they rely on you inhaling nicotine as a vapour in propelene glycol. You do get a hit though.

I had a few years on Hamlet cigars, I liked the advert:D

Then went back to fags, I cant remember what they were now, but were in a gold packet, players I think.

 

I used to smoke Nelson, or sometimes Consulate "fresh mountain breeze" cigs!! Unbelievably now there was always an ashtray on a table in the doctors waiting room, ashtrays everywhere in fact, those were the good times!!!!

Crikey Jack, That evokes some memories from way, way back When l first started smoking, when l was about 17, l used to smoke Black Russian, and also those different coloured jobbies.......l used to think that l looked really cool. TEE HEEE
